Job Description

Middlesex University is an ambitious and progressive institution committed to empowering students and providing them with an educational experience that sets them up for success in life and work as we embark upon our refreshed 2031 University Strategy. The Department of Strategy, Leadership and Operations at Middlesex University is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer to join our academic community on a teaching and research path. You will take an active lead role in teaching on a range of our programmes in the department, which have been refocussed and built our practice leading education agenda as we move forward with our AACSB accreditation journey.

The ideal candidate will have expertise and a track record of research outputs in strategy and international business, with the flexibility to contribute to teaching across the department when required. In line with our vision to transform the lives of individual students and the futures of the communities in which we are embedded, we are looking for a candidate who excels in delivering high-quality, inclusive, and practice-led teaching. You will play a key role in shaping our students’ futures by delivering innovative and impactful teaching, fostering an engaging learning environment, and supporting student success at all levels of study.

Your teaching will integrate real-world insights and address contemporary challenges, preparing students to become self-confident, employable, and responsible global citizens. You are expected to maintain a research profile, including outputs, normally of high international standing, and demonstrate commitment to making an impact on society, based on research and knowledge transfer.

This is an exciting time to be joining Middlesex with strong leadership, clarity of focus and a determination to deliver positive change across the University. The Faculty of Business and Law is well placed, ranked #1 in Impact in REF21, a refreshing suite of programmes, significant industry connections, and a dedicated team of staff.
